    We offer several options to customize your furniture. To view examples of each custom option, please visit our Table Options page. Table options avaliable vary by product. 

    End Caps: End caps, often referred to as bread boards, are boards that run perpendicular to the table top boards. See example

    Top Style - Traditional vs. Jointed: We offer both a traditional boarded top and a jointed top that features a non-planked top. Please view our blog post explaining the differences and see this example. By their nature, round tables and hardwood tables are always built with a jointed top.

    Tapered Legs: Our farmhouse tables come standard with a traditional square leg. We offer the option of a tapered leg for a different look. See example.

  • Holiday Season Lead Time

    Holiday Season Lead Time

    Our typical build time is between three and four weeks. We know that the holiday season can sneak up quickly - if you need your furniture delivered prior to Christmas, we are happy to offer an expedited build time.

    Local Northwest Arkansas Delivery or Wood Shop Pickup

    Furniture ordered prior to Friday, December 7th, 2018, will be ready for local delivery or pickup before Christmas with NO rush fee.

    Starting Tuesday, December 4th, 2018,  furniture that needs to be delivered locally or picked up in Northwest Arkansas before Christmas will be subject to a $160.00 RUSH FEE. Please call 479-633-7557 prior to placing your order to ensure the RUSH FEE is added to your order. If an order is placed without a RUSH FEE, the furniture will be scheduled for delivery or pickup within four weeks.

    Once production capacity has been met, expedited build times and rush fees will no longer be available, so please place your order sooner rather than later!

     

    Third Party, Curbside Shipping

    Furniture ordered on or before Wednesday, November 21st, 2018, will be released into transit and delivered by the third party delivery company before Christmas.

    Starting Thursday, November 22nd, 2018, furniture shipped via third party, curbside delivery with arrival before Christmas will be subject to a $200.00 RUSH FEE. Please call 479-633-7557 prior to placing your order to ensure the RUSH FEE is added to your order. If an order is placed without a RUSH FEE, the furniture will be released into transit with the third party freight company within four weeks. Typical transit time on furniture shipped via third party is three to five business days.

    Once production capacity has been met, expedited build times and rush fees will no longer be available, so please place your order sooner rather than later!

    James+James Home Deliveries (outside of Northwest Arkansas)

    Our delivery routes are filling up quickly, but are not subject to RUSH FEES. Please keep an eye on our Deliveries webpage to see when we’ll be coming back through your city next! Our delivery truck will be back in every James+James Home Delivery city between Thanksgiving and Christmas!

     
  • I need my furniture ASAP. Do you offer a rush service?

    For 3rd Party Freight Shipping and Local Pick Up orders, we offer a rush service. Typically, furniture is ready for shipment or pick up within 3 to 4 weeks.  A $200.00 Rush Fee ensures that the furniture is ready for pick up in 2 weeks. Please call us before placing an order to have the rush fee added as there are some exceptions. 

     

  • Do you offer financing?

  • Do you have a warranty?

    Everything! No custom piece of furniture is built or finished until it’s ordered so you can control everything about it.   • What should I know about James+James before ordering?

    James+James is a garage started, locally owned furniture company. James+James tables and beds are hand-built by a small team of local craftsmen at our shop in Arkansas. We also offer a collection of furniture that we source responsibly and hand-finish onsite. Additionally, we offer a curated selection of decor items, lighting, furniture, and rugs from across the globe. 

    Our Cosmetic Standards:

    At James+James, we take great pride in each and every piece of unique piece of furniture of solid wood furniture that we sell. The furniture that is handcrafted and brushed finished by our team is built using solid wood that is distressed and has a reclaimed look. Given the handmade and hand finished nature of the products we craft, variations and imperfections in the wood should be expected and celebrated! Just as every tree is unique, so too is every piece of furniture that is handcrafted and hand finished just for you. Every piece of furniture will have a unique grain pattern and slight color variation as a result of the grain pattern. 

    Other characteristics of handcrafted, solid wood furniture include open knots, visible brush strokes, micro-imperfections and textural variations in the durable, hand brushed finishes, unique distress marks, exposed screws, wood filler marks, joint lines, and distinctive nicks, splits, cracks, and other imperfections. We allow up to approx. 1" of variation across all measurements due to the custom nature of the handcrafted furniture we build. Those who do not appreciate variations and imperfections should not purchase handcrafted furniture. 

    Solid wood may expand and contract due to changes in temperature and humidity. This means that the gaps between the boards of a traditional table top may get wider over time and need to be cleaned. This natural movement enhances the one of a kind beauty of solid wood, handcrafted furniture. It does not affect structural integrity and is not considered defective. For customers that prefer to never have gaps between their table top boards, we recommend choosing our jointed top option, which eliminates cracks and spaces between the boards in the table tops. Jointed tops expand and contract as a whole. You will still see the beautiful and natural open knots on jointed table tops. We do not offer machine manufactured perfection - no two pieces are exactly alike since James+James furniture is crafted to your order specifications. We celebrate the true uniqueness of every piece of solid wood furniture that is built and finished by hand in our woodshop.

  • How do I care for my furniture?

    Your furniture is built from solid wood and is designed to be durable and livable. Our furniture is sealed with a polyurethane finish to protect the wood. Families love the durability and longevity of our furniture.

    For daily care, we recommend cleaning with water or any cleaning product intended for wood surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals. If you have any care questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email us.

  • How will I receive my furniture?

    At checkout, you will be given up to three options for delivery, depending upon your location. If you have questions about which option is best for you, give us a call: 479-633-7557.

     

    1. SHOP PICKUP: Free pickup from our wood shop in Springdale, Arkansas. Local pickup orders are typically ready in 3 to 4 weeks. Please click here for all the details you need to know about James+James Shop Pickup.

    2. JAMES+JAMES DELIVERY: When you select James+James Home Delivery, you can rest assured that our team will greet you like an old friend. Our trained craftsmen will bring all of your new furniture inside your home and place it wherever you’d like. They will assemble your new table or bed at no extra cost to you. Check out all of the cities we deliver to here. If you’re near one of our delivery cities or along our route, please reach out to us! We may be able to offer you James+James Home Delivery: 479-633-7557 or james@carpenterjames.com. We offer James+James Home Delivery locally in Northwest Arkansas for $95.00.     3. THIRD PARTY FREIGHT SHIPPING: Freight shipping straight to your curb, anywhere in the contiguous U.S. Your shipping cost will be calculated at checkout. Depending on your order size and location, shipping starts at $340. We also ship to Canada and internationally. Contact us via email or phone for a shipping quote.   • What is your return policy?

     

    For Delivered/Shop Pickup Furniture:

    We're so confident you're going to love your new furniture that we offer a full satisfation guarantee for James+James delivered and shop pickup items. If you're not thrilled with your new furniture at delivery, our delivery team will load it back up and we'll issue you a full refund. Items must be rejected upon delivery, before signing for the furniture. Items can not be returned once our delivery crew has left your location. In the rare event that your order is built inaccurately or has a defect, James+James will replace the furniture and correct the issue. Our tables and beds are built from solid wood that is distressed and has a reclaimed look. Our finishes are applied by brush. Any characteristics of handmade furniture are not considered defects. Please see our cosmetic standards above and our James+James Promise Warranty here.

    For 3rd Party Freight Shipped Furniture:

    In the rare event that your order is built inaccurately or has a defect, James+James will replace the furniture and correct the issue. Our tables and beds are built from solid wood that is distressed and has a reclaimed look. Our finishes are applied by brush. Any characteristics of handmade furniture are not considered defects. Please see our cosmetic standards above and our James+James Promise Warranty here. James+James will also replace any items damaged in transit, as long as the damage is properly noted upon delivery per our instructions. Due to the high costs of packaging and freight charges, we are unable to offer returns or refunds on shipped orders for buyers remorse.

    For Decor/Lighting:

    We offer a full product refund (less two-way postage) for returned decor items. The item must be returned undamaged and in the original packaging within 15 days of purchase. To initiate a return, please call us. Items returned prior to notification can not be accepted.

     

    For Rugs:

    Rugs are custom ordered from the manufacturer and can not be returned.
