What’s with James+James?
James+James is a garage started, locally owned furniture company. James+James tables and beds are hand-built by a small team of local craftsmen at our shop in Arkansas. We also offer a collection of furniture that we source responsibly and hand-finish onsite to match. Additionally, we offer a curated selection of decor items, lighting, furniture and rugs from across the globe.
Our tables and beds are built from solid wood that is distressed and has a reclaimed look. Our finishes are applied by brush. Customers often compliment our furniture for the beautiful wood grain and handcrafted characteristics. We do not offer machine manufactured perfection and we take great pride in each and every unique piece of solid wood furniture that we sell. Each piece may have other solid wood and handcrafted characteristics including knots and brushstrokes. By their nature, solid wood planks may shift slightly over time, further enhancing their rustic character. For customers that prefer to not have gaps between their table top boards, we recommend choosing our jointed top option, which eliminates cracks and spaces between the board tops.

After an order is placed, you will be emailed an order confirmation receipt to confirm the details of your order in writing.
What do the product icons mean?
- Items that feature the hammer icon are both built and hand finished by the James+James team in Northwest Arkansas. These items offer nearly endless customization options. If you’d like to inquire about customizing your piece beyond the website’s capabilities, please give us a call.

Do you build for businesses and restaurants?
James+James has built furniture for local business, Fortune 500 companies, and everything in between. There is no job too small or too large - our furniture, decor, and lighting can be found in businesses across the country. Do you have a store front?
Yes! Our retail store is located at 4217 S. Thompson St in Springdale, Arkansas (north of the NWA Mall). We are open Tuesday through Saturday 10am to 6pm and closed on Sunday and Monday.
Our wood shop is located at 460B W Randall Wobbe Ln in Springdale, Arkansas (right off 71B) and is open 9am to 4pm Monday through Friday.
Do you offer military discounts?

Do you offer financing?
Yes, James+James now offers financing through Synchrony Financial. Qualified customers can receive 6 months deferred interest. If the promotional purchase is not paid in full within 6 months, interest will be charged to your account from the date of purchase. To avoid late fees, you must make your Total Minimum Monthly Payments by the due date each month. These Minimum Monthly Payments may not pay off the promotional purchase before the end of the promotional period. Currently, this financing offer is only available in store and not online. Please inquire in store for more details.
What can I customize?
Everything! No custom piece of furniture is built or finished until it’s ordered so you can control everything about it. Table Options Explained:
We offer several options to customize your furniture. To view examples of each custom option, please visit our Table Options page.
End Caps: End caps, often referred to as bread boards, are boards that run perpendicular to the table top boards. See example .
Top Style - Traditional vs. Jointed: We offer both a traditional boarded top and a jointed top that features a non-planked top. Please view our blog post explaining the differences and see this example . By their nature, round tables are always built with a jointed top.
Tapered Legs: Our farmhouse tables come standard with a traditional square leg. We offer the option of a tapered leg for a different look. See example .
How do I care for my furniture?
Your furniture is built from solid wood and is designed to be durable and livable. Our furniture is sealed with a polyurethane finish to protect the wood from heat and moisture, so you don’t need to worry about coasters. Families love the durability and longevity of our furniture.
For daily care, we recommend cleaning with water or any cleaning product intended for wood surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals. If you have any care questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email us.
How will I receive my furniture?
At checkout, you will be given up to four options for delivery, depending upon your location. If you have questions about which option is best for you, give us a call: 479-633-7557.
- SHOP PICKUP: Free pickup from our wood shop in Springdale, Arkansas. (see details below)
- JAMES+JAMES DELIVERY: Our delivery crew drives all across the country. If you live in one of our delivery cities, the James+James team can bring the furniture straight into your home for around $180 - $280 per order depending on your location. Local deliveries in the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers-Bentonville area are $95. If you live along our delivery route, we may still be able to deliver to you. Call 479-633-7557 for more information. If your delivery city requires us to collect sales tax, applicable sales tax will be added during check-out. (see details below)
- THIRD PARTY FREIGHT SHIPPING: Freight shipping straight to your curb, anywhere in the contiguous U.S. Your shipping cost will be calculated at checkout. Depending on your order size and location, shipping starts at $340. We also ship to Canada and internationally. Contact us via email or phone for a shipping quote. (see details below)
1. Shop Pickup Details:
If you select free pick-up on checkout, the turn-around time is typically 4-6 weeks from order to pick up. A member of our team will reach out as soon as your furniture is ready to head home and schedule a pickup day and time. Once a time is scheduled for your pickup, we will have our crew ready and our loading dock reserved for you at that designated time.
Our NWA wood shop is open for pickup Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm and is located at 460 W Randall Wobbe Ln., Springdale, AR. Our crew will be available to help load up your new furniture, but please come prepared with blankets, straps, etc to properly secure everything for your drive home. Tables picked-up are not packaged. You will be asked to inspect and sign for the furniture at pickup.
2. James+James Delivery Details:
If you live one of our delivery cities or if you are eligible for our Local Delivery option, you will be able to select a James+James delivery upon checkout. We are only able to accept deliveries for each trip until the trailer is full. You can monitor the capacity of each trip on our deliveries page. Typically we make each delivery run every 6 to 8 weeks.
If you are located on our delivery route or just outside one of our delivery cities, it is possible that we can deliver to your home. Please contact us for more information!
At least one week before the scheduled delivery trip or local delivery, you will be emailed with a specific delivery date and 1.5 hour time window for your delivery. Your delivery time and date will be dictated by your location relative to our delivery route. Deliveries can happen any day between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm and we cannot guarantee days or times. Our deliveries are scheduled based off drive times and cannot be modified. This is done to reduce the cost of the deliveries for all customers. If your delivery is going to be impacted by weather or other uncontrollable circumstances, we will contact you with a new delivery date and time as soon as we can.
Please be prepared to inspect and sign for your furniture upon delivery.
Deliveries include inside placement on the ground floor only. If your residence is not on the ground floor, your delivery will be curbside.
To lower your delivery costs and reduce transit damage, some items arrive unassembled (chairs, hutches, buffets etc.). Assembly is very simple and straightforward and instructions are included. Our crew will be happy to assemble your table in your home.
It is your responsibility to ensure the furniture you order can fit through your threshold. Furniture cannot be refused upon delivery if it does not fit through an entryway.

3. Third Party Freight Shipping Details:
If you are not located in one of our delivery cities or are unavailable to accept delivery during a James+James delivery, we offer shipping through 3rd party freightliners. We know that shipping solid wood furniture can be costly, so James+James only charges what it actually costs to have furniture delivered via 3rd party freightliners.
Most furniture is shipped within 4 to 8 weeks of ordering. You will be notified by our team as soon as your furniture leaves our shop. Once the furniture arrives at the shipping terminal nearest to your home, you will be contacted by the freight company to schedule a delivery window. Please note that sometimes these delivery time windows can span over several hours, so please be prepared to accept your shipment at any point in the time window given. If you are not able to accept your shipment within a reasonable amount of time (as defined by the freight company), the freight company may be required to charge storage fees. All 3rd party freight deliveries occur during normal business hours only. Please be prepared to inspect and sign for your furniture upon delivery.
To save all of our customers money, all shipping prices are for curbside delivery only. This means you will need to bring the furniture inside your home, uncrate it, and assemble it. Our furniture is built from solid wood and is heavy. We also crate the furniture to protect it from damage during transit, so please be prepared to open the crate during inspection.
Shipping via third party freightliner starts at $340. We highly recommend our more affordable James+James deliveries if you live in or near one of our many delivery cities.
It is your responsibility to inspect your new furniture thoroughly and completely for any damage BEFORE signing for the package(s). In the very rare event that your furniture does arrive damaged, DO NOT ACCEPT THE DELIVERY OR SIGN THE DELIVERY SLIP.
In the unlikely event that your furniture is damaged in transit by the 3rd party freight line, James+James will ship you replacement furniture at no additional cost to you by filing a claim with the shipping company, but we can only do that if you refuse the damaged furniture. Once you sign the delivery slip, James+James can assume no responsibility for damage found after delivery, so fully inspecting your furniture upon delivery is extremely important.
If you require white glove service for shipping (bringing the package inside, unpacking it, setting it up, etc.), please give us a call and we will provide you with a white glove shipping quote. Please keep in mind white glove service typically increases the freight quote by hundreds of dollars.
Please note: Furniture cannot be refused upon delivery if it does not fit through an entryway. It is your responsibility to ensure the furniture you order can fit in your home.
Please note: Because of increased freight costs, there will be an additional surcharge of $150.00 per order for third party freight shipped to New York City. When ordering online, your shipping total will not reflect this additional fee. We will reach out to you directly when your online order has been processed. What is your furniture refund policy?
Because every piece of James+James furniture is custom built and/or finished to order and therefore is not re-sellable by James+James, our return policy only covers product defects and inaccurate orders. In the rare event that your order is built inaccurately or has a defect, James+James will replace the furniture and correct the issue.
Our tables and beds are built from solid wood that is distressed and has a reclaimed look. Our finishes are applied by brush. Any characteristics of handmade furniture should not be considered defects.
In the rare event that your furniture is damaged in transit, James+James will correct the issue at no additional charge as long as the damage is properly noted upon delivery.

DECOR, LIGHTING, & RUGS FAQ
How much is shipping?
Free! All of our decor, lighting, and rugs ship for free straight to your home or business. If the item is in stock, it typically ships within 1 business day. Transit times vary depending on your location. If rushed delivery is desired for decor items, please give us a call: 479-633-7557. If your cart includes both decor and furniture items, the items will arrive independently.
Decor/Lighting Refund Policy:
We offer a full product refund (less two-way postage) for returned decor items. The item must be returned undamaged and in the original packaging within 15 days of purchase. To initiate a return, please call us. Items returned prior to notification can not be accepted.
Rug Refund Policy:
Rugs can only be returned if they arrive damaged. It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect all rugs for damage before accepting and signing for the shipment.
