Solid Hardwood

All James & James furniture is crafted from solid hardwood. No particle board or veneers in sight. Quality materials and craftsmanship result in premium furniture that's designed to last.

Crafted from solid Knotty Alder Hardwood, our furniture is built for everyday use and ready to become your next heirloom.

Every piece is hand-finished in the color of your choosing, then sealed with a polyurethane finish to further protect the surface. Surface area knots are filled for a smooth finish, while all other knots are left open and natural.

Depending on the foot style selected, add the following to the total height of the kennel:
Bevel: 4”
Square: 2.5”
Round: 2”

Small Double Kennel
Holds two dogs up to 25lbs or less on each side.
Exterior: 51”W x 19.5”D x 25.5”H
Interior: 48.25”W x 17”D x 24”H

Medium Double Kennel
Holds two dogs up to 30lbs on each side.
Exterior: 64.25”W x 21.5”D x 31.5”H
Interior: 61.5”W x 19”D x 30”H

Large Double Kennel
Holds two dogs up to 65lbs on each side.
Exterior: 76.25”W x 24.5”D x 36.5”H
Interior: 73.5”W x 22”D x 35”H

Extra Large Single Kennel
Holds two dogs up to 110lbs on each side.
Exterior: 88.75”W x 30”D x 41.5”H
Interior: 86”W x 27.5”D x 40”H

Please note that each measurement is an approximation, as our pieces are hand-built. We allow for up to 1" in variation to accommodate the unique nature of handcrafted furniture.

For daily care, we recommend dusting regularly with a soft, dry cloth to maintain a clean surface. When necessary, use water and a wood-safe cleaning product for a deeper clean. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals, as they can deteriorate the finish and potentially damage the wood. Be sure to dry immediately after cleaning to prevent moisture damage.

We believe craftsmen should stand behind their products. That’s why we promise: 

  1. If your item(s) isn’t delivered in the correct color, size (after allowing for our 1” variance), or style that you ordered, we will replace it.  
  2. If your item(s) arrives damaged and the damage is noted upon the delivery paperwork, we will evaluate the damage and at our discretion either repair or replace some or all of the product that is damaged.  
  3. If your item(s) ever unnaturally cracks or splits, we’ll fix or replace it as indicated in our warranty.

What is a double dog kennel?

  • A double dog kennel, also known as a double dog crate, is a crate or kennel large enough to accommodate two dogs.
