Upgrade Wood Species

Knotty Alder

Standard Species – Knotty Alder showcases beautiful grain patterns and exposed knots. The knots on all table-tops are filled to ensure a smooth surface. Unless otherwise noted, all James & James pieces come standard in Knotty Alder.

Maple

Premium Upcharge ($$) – Generally lighter in hue, Maple is a classic choice in furniture. With a finer grain that can vary from straight to wavy with circular patterns, Maple is a dense hardwood perfect for any piece. Call to upgrade any James & James piece to Maple.

White Oak

Premium Upcharge ($$$) – Boasting it's distinctive grain pattern, White Oak is known for its exceptional strength and durability, making it ideal for heavy-use furniture. Some James & James pieces come standard in this species, otherwise, you can call to upgrade any James & James piece to White Oak.

Black Walnut
