While our hardwood beds are crafted in-house, our upholstered beds are built by a trusted USA-based partner using high-quality materials, including durable upholstery and high-quality solid maple hardwood accents.

This collaboration ensures that each bed meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship, providing a durable and stylish foundation for your bedroom. While our beds, dressers, and nightstands are all crafted from solid maple, they are built by different partner vendors. Due to natural variations in wood, finishes may not be an exact match, but are designed to complement one another for a cohesive look.

All James & James beds are designed to fit standard mattress sizes. This bed is not designed to accommodate an adjustable frame.

Please note that each measurement is an approximation, as our pieces are hand-built. We allow for up to 1" in variation to accommodate the unique nature of handcrafted furniture.

To keep your James & James upholstered bed looking beautiful for years to come, follow these simple care instructions. The solid maple hardwood frame should be dusted regularly with a soft, dry cloth or a slightly damp microfiber cloth to prevent buildup. Avoid harsh cleaners or abrasive materials that could damage the wood finish, and for deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution, making sure to wipe dry immediately. To protect the wood, keep the bed away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or humidity fluctuations that could cause movement or warping.

The performance fabric upholstery is designed for durability and easy maintenance, making it ideal for everyday use. Regularly vacuum the fabric using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth—do not rub—to prevent moisture from setting into the fabric. Most stains can be removed with mild soap and water; gently dab the area with a damp cloth, then pat dry. For tougher stains, consult the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions, as many performance fabrics are stain-resistant and can be cleaned with a diluted bleach solution if necessary. Avoid excessive scrubbing, which can damage the fibers. While performance fabric is designed to withstand daily wear, keeping it away from direct sunlight and heat sources will help prevent fading over time.

For general upkeep, always lift the bed rather than dragging it when moving to prevent stress on joints. Keep pets' nails trimmed to avoid snags in the fabric and scratches on the wood. Using a mattress protector can help prevent stains and maintain the bed’s pristine condition. With proper care, your James & James upholstered bed will remain a timeless and durable piece in your home for years to come.

We believe craftsmen should stand behind their products. That’s why we promise: 

1. If your item(s) isn’t delivered in the correct color, size (after allowing for our 1” variance), or style that you ordered, we will replace it.  
2. If your item(s) arrives damaged and the damage is noted upon the delivery paperwork, we will evaluate the damage and at our discretion either repair or replace some or all of the product that is damaged.  
3. If your item(s) ever unnaturally cracks or splits, we’ll fix or replace it as indicated in our warranty.
