Jointed Smooth Surface vs Traditional Groove Finish

On some of our tables, we offer the option of a normal jointed top with a smooth surface, a jointed top that has grooves cut into it to simulate the apperance of a boarded/planked top, or a top that has grooves cut into it with end caps running perpendicular on either end of the table.

 

This top has a jointed, smooth surface top. The boards are jointed together and there are no gaps or grooves between them:
