Third Party Freight Shipping Details:
If you are not located in one of our delivery cities or are unavailable to accept delivery during a James+James delivery, we offer shipping through 3rd party freightliners. We know that shipping solid wood furniture can be costly, so James+James only charges what it actually costs to have furniture delivered via 3rd party freightliners.
Most furniture is shipped within 2 to 3 weeks of ordering. You will be notified by our team as soon as your furniture leaves our shop. Once the furniture arrives at the shipping terminal nearest to your home, you will be contacted by the freight company to schedule a delivery window. Please note that sometimes these delivery time windows can span over several hours, so please be prepared to accept your shipment at any point in the time window given. If you are not able to accept your shipment within a reasonable amount of time (as defined by the freight company), the freight company may be required to charge storage fees. All 3rd party freight deliveries occur during normal business hours only. Please be prepared to inspect and sign for your furniture upon delivery.
To save all of our customers money, all shipping prices are for curbside delivery only. This means you will need to bring the furniture inside your home, uncrate it, and assemble it. Our furniture is built from solid wood and is heavy. We also crate the furniture to protect it from damage during transit, so please be prepared to open the crate during inspection.
Shipping via third party freightliner starts at $340. We highly recommend our more affordable James+James deliveries if you live in or near one of our many delivery cities.
It is your responsibility to inspect your new furniture thoroughly and completely for any damage BEFORE signing for the package(s). In the very rare event that your furniture does arrive damaged, please note any damage on the delivery slip before signing for your furniture.
In the unlikely event that your furniture is damaged in transit by the 3rd party freight line, James+James will ship you replacement furniture at no additional cost to you by filing a claim with the shipping company, but we can only do that if you've noted damage on the delivery slip before signing for the furniture. Once you sign the delivery slip, James+James can assume no responsibility for damage found after delivery, so fully inspecting your furniture upon delivery is extremely important.
If you require white glove service for shipping (bringing the package inside, unpacking it, setting it up, etc.), please give us a call and we will provide you with a white glove shipping quote. Please keep in mind white glove service typically increases the freight quote by hundreds of dollars.
Please note: Furniture cannot be refused upon delivery if it does not fit through an entryway. It is your responsibility to ensure the furniture you order can fit in your home.
Please note: Because of increased freight costs, there will be an additional surcharge of $150.00 per order for third party freight shipped to New York City. When ordering online, your shipping total will not reflect this additional fee. We will reach out to you directly when your online order has been processed.
